This annual event was staged at the Greenlands Social Club where a full Concert Room awaited to witness one of the best awards nights.
To open WENDY LESTER a delightful young vocalist who performed an excellent set of numbers in the time allotted. The audience gave her a very warm applause.
The second act was DAVE KNEAL who is a keyboard vocalist, he certainly had the audience in his grasp and in no time had them dancing.
The final act in the first half was DEREK JAMES. Here is a top vocal entertainer who knows how to handle his audience to such an extent wherever he appears they follow, tonight he was as usual first class and there were shouts for an encore and he obliged.
During the interval Carol dealt with the sale of the prize raffle tickets, all of the six prizes had been donated. My sincere thanks to the sellers and the purchasers of the tickets.
 The second half opened with RICK SHEEHAN, from Derby. Here is an artiste who is a one man show, you name it, he does it, you do not know what's coming next. His timing is excellent, impressions cannot be faulted, he is an international performer. Rick has a top sound and lighting engineer in the form of Sandy Mitchell who makes the whole act run smoothly. Ideal at any venue. A worthy award winner.
Final act 4 MORE. Here is a group that has come on leaps and bounds. Their whole set really got the dancers on the floor and they did not want them to stop.
Sincere thanks to the following who made the presentation to the winners, Linda and Denis Darlington, Ben Clarke, Mike Wyre and John Scott. One must also give a big thanks to Jim Watt Ent Sec, and his helpers for the excellent laying out of the room, candles on the table.
