Spring / Summer 2008
Hello Everybody!
This is the first news update I have done since January! A few bits to tell you about! Firstly we would like to thank everybody who came to the Chaddesden Jubilee Club for our STARS "R" US Show!
Sold out a couple of weeks prior to the 4th of April. In fact we were a bit naughty and let a few more people in over the capacity, but it was for a good cause! We would also like to thank Garry Slade and Rob McMillan for there contribution! It was a fantastic night of comedy and nostalgia! We can’t wait till the next outing of the boys somewhere near you! We sprang a little surprise on the night by resurrecting the Norman Wisdom intro for the first time in many years! It had the shock factor that we wanted! Also launched The Homer Simpson Character and the Phil Collins/Monkey sketch!
We also had a positive response to our little jaunt to Dubai last month! Hopefully more gigs over there next year! "It is hard work but some one has to do it"! Next on the schedule is a trip to the USA!
Reviews of which I will put on here on the next news page! Also a trip to Spain in June or possibly after America is being put together!
Unfortunately due to the credit crunch and other outside forces we find ourselves like a lot of artistes finding it hard going to fill the diary in mainland UK! But we are trying everything possible to keep ourselves as a professional outfit! Fingers crossed that the circle of events can come round our way again very soon!
We would also like to introduce to our web links page Mr Adrian Moore of the Aston Experience and a new rock covers band called HARD ROCK BUFFET including a good friend of ours Mr Eddy Lush!
I was in fact with Eddy a founder member of the band last February! But this new line up has arrived on the covers rock scene with a bang! Well worth watching! A gig at the flower pot has been arranged for the 21st of June! I hope I can get a freebie!
