March 2007
Well it is March so saying happy New Year is a bit much!
I have not written any news pages in Jan or Feb as to be honest not a lot has happened!
Those being our quiet months!
A couple of items to report this month:
In August we will be jetting of to Benidorm and Tenerife for a few gigs! This is becoming an annual trip now, and we are not complaining! We are just waiting for dates to be confirmed! I will then post them on the gig guide!
We can confirm that Andy (Blakey) Crofts will be with us once again as our security advisor and drinking buddy!!
Secondly Rick has been in auditions for a play called ANNA and ROSE.
He has landed the part of KANYE...
 Plot Summary
Anna and Rose have recovered from a traumatizing past. They get by, struggling against all that life throws at them, until once again, their past returns to haunt them.
Drastic times call for drastic measures, but when Rose, in a moment of panic, saves her sister, by suffocating their stepmother; they begin a journey from which they can’t turn back.
Instead, they work to control the situation, and eventually embrace the new life they find for themselves, as well as the opportunities it brings. As they get deeper into the trouble they create, the stakes get higher and they will discover they have a lot more to lose.
Production Background
"Anna and Rose" was written by Miss Noor Khamou, Theatre director for the Vineyard Theatre Company. As an original theatre piece, "Anna and Rose" was written as a play designed to appeal to the younger generations, whilst introducing a touch of culture.
The play is supported by the University of Derby, and has also received accolades from the panel of the young writer’s award. With plans to tour the Buxton and Edinburgh festivals, "Anna and Rose" is set to be a highly anticipated production.
Lead roles:
Anna - The youngest of the two sisters, a beautiful woman with brown eyes and long braided hair.
Rose - The oldest of the two sisters, a beautiful looking woman.
Abel - The police sergeant, a tall man with a lot of pride and dignity in his eyes.
Kanye - A short middle-aged man who plays music outside Anna and Rose's window every day.
Other roles:
Biggies Mama - A large sized middle-aged woman who owns the house where Anna and rose live on the first floor.
Mona - Anna and Rose's evil stepmother, a woman with a blunt face and a manly posture.
Boy - Assistant at the material shop in the town centre.
Boss (sweetness) - Owner of the material shop in the town centre, a middle-aged man, who has a moustache and appears to be kind and charming.
Vivienne - Basha's daughter, a beautiful girl.
Basha - a 40 year old handsome man, the prince. his family is filthy rich and owns half the country.
